  1. Hi everyone,I am running windows me,and need some advice.I am building a pc in the near future,so I will be switching to xp.

I am been reading some of the posts on this forum, and was looking at some procedures.I use Spyblaster,Ad-Aware SE,and Spybot Search and Destroy.I also use AVG plus with virus and firewall protection.I also use Firefox for a browser.I used to have alot more fun on the net,but anymore it's"'cya'' any place you go.Ok! here are some of my questions.

1.Do you need to open all the hidden files and folders on your pc when checking for spyware?

2.Do you have to turn off system restore?

I read those tips on this forum.I never knew you had to do that before running your spyware programs.

Those instructions only apply WHEN your PC has been infected, makes it easier to find/delete the culprits.

Thanks for the heads up.I must have misread the post.I Am configuring Firefox with some extensions. The best extension I found was ad block with the g-filter set.Spyblaster and that extension prevent alot of spyware before it hits your pc.
