For the sake of accuracy, the ad we're talking about is either Verizon or ATT, not Apple directly. Although Apple may be pumping money into the campaign.

As to your , "only change the channel or mute it so much" observation. That's called, "road blocking", and it's used in prime time, so that whichever channel you turn to, you get the same ad!

Don't have Verizon or ATT where i live, so i just always thought it was made by Apple, learn something everyday :) This is the add i was talking about:
