New homepage design

And some of the past replies in the other sections too with
colors used are now a bit wacked.

hard to read & confusing.I hope we can still have the text color feature back.

like Blind Dragon said,he uses canned speeches in responding to a victim
which is a very useful tool in giving a guide, saves lots of time & typing.
some of them are critical & must be color coded to separate it from a normal text.

likewise if he has a ton of that canned
speeches then he must edit them all over again.

Keep up the great work!

Damn Julio...you're the man. I didn't think you'll get to the forums so soon. I was thinking a few weeks or so. Good Job! :grinthumb

I agree with the color...sometimes a clean layout to explanations, such as color coding, help readers follow instructions a bit better.

Per your request, colors have been added back. As long as those are not abused too much I think it will be fine.

I have also corrected the email functionality setting so your addresses are no longer compromised.

It's clean looking! And the buttons are pretty! (Simple-minded statement of the day) :p

lol Good job Julio. I woke up to this and was like: "Wha-wha-wha-wha-what?"

The new forums are a pleasant change from the old ones.
Props to Julio and team for all the great work. :grinthumb

Awesome, the forums changed. I was a little apprehensive, wondering how they would look. But I think they look great.

It took me one good (full) week templating vBulletin again with our previous custom additions, then learning some of the vB changes, and finally making the new design blend with the forums... but the end result is well worth it.

I will likely polish a thing here and there over time, but for now it's solid enough.

Because of the version bump we also get access to a new list of add-ons that have been coded for these newer versions of the board. So right now I'm in the process of upgrading some of the existent and adding a couple more.

I'm also new to this feature but notifications are not related to PMs but to the new social features... in other words, you should still get PM notifications if you have them enabled. I don't think there is an option for the others.

I love the add-ons and thankfully am familiar with them from some other boards that recently updated. That is correct PM will be just like before but the visitor messages or social group stuff will not notify you. So basically if it's an emergency I guess we should PM you ;)

The only down side the social group is there is no bbcode and the post go upside down - from bottom to top - so it is difficult to have a convo with multiple people.

Good work, HTML errors are down to about twenty in the forums :p

(edit: viewing a thread brings it to hundreds, depending on the amount of replies)

But I can't seem to stay logged in for more than a few minutes. Is there an inactivity timeout or something? Is that what the "remember me" checkbox is supposed to be?

I still find the site takes an irritatingly long time to load, not so bad if returning within a few minutes, but after an hour or two it is long again. Suggest something changes on the opening page (the news ?) every hour or less, which forces a complete refresh of the 'font page', which takes a long time.

Also, having chosen 'Forums' there is again quite a delay before 'my posts' becomes active. During this interval of a few seconds, it is possible to click 'my posts' twice, before it is active and again shortly after, thinking it has not 'noticed'. Unfortunately both clicks are queued with the very unfortunate result that you become locked out for 30 seconds......

Really hope something can be done about thede problems, but I appreciate it is hard on your own.

I am having the same problem

my browser says waiting for a.tribalfusion.com when it hangs - sometimes it is almost instant that I refresh and a page loads the next time it waits for tribalfusion

I'm on a lot, and continuously changing pages and all
Mine loads pretty quick (well better than the old page anyway)
I am not blocking any ads either

So the fault must be in you computer setups
Actually, sometimes when I click "Submit Reply" there's a delay (up to 30 secs) but this is only sometimes.

gbhall and Blind Dragon,
What browsers and OS are you using? I'm definitely going to look into this but the easiest way is for me to be able to replicate what you are experiencing.

Thanks!
