I could've sworn I greated you into the team. I think those aliens deleted my post so that there's some discord in the team lowering the chances to find them.:suspiciou

Or maybe it just slipped my mind.;)

Anyways Welcome to the Team Novicegamer.:D

    Two is better than one

I just got 2nd CPU for my 2nd computer, now I have dual-P3 and dual-Celeron crunching Seti. I'll pass MrG and one year of CPU time shortly :approve:
  5. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

Well Huzzah to that Mic. :)

    ( run MrG, RUN !!! ;) )

We've also passed 11K results ( keep 'em coming ) & 9 years of computing time.

    Congrats to all.

And to think that I'm only crunching on an AthlonXP 2500+ Barton with you not able to keep up so far... :)

If you can't overtake me now when using 4 cpu's and I only use 1 cpu....

Too bad I'm too broke to build another system atm... :(

Hey guys. My email address has changed, and I no longer have the one I signed up with. I've also lost the password. Would it be possible for somebody to kick me out of the account so I can re-join?
  8. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

We can kick you out of the team but your account is still lost. You will have to create a new account & start at 0. Is that what you want ?
  9. Spike Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,371

lol. yip. That is exactly what I want. Thankyou. I hadn't done much before I lost my password and email anyway. An unexpected reinstall lost me the text file it was in.

I'm a bit wiser these days. data stays on a seperate partition :)

    Thanks

I'll remove you from the team later but you can allready join again with your new account, no problems there.:)
  11. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

BTW are you sure you want me to remove you ? That means taking out 11 WU from the team total.;)
  12. Spike Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,371

well, I would appreciate it. I would like to add myself in as spike again. Two spikes would make a febnce, and we wouldn't want that! lol

I'll set the computer working with my broadband connection overnight. I'll bring back those 11 units in no time!
  13. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

    Done.

    Oh & BTW...

    12K UNITS !!! :D
  14. Spike Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,371

OK, that's INSANE!!! I've just created a new account. I've been credited with 1 WU's! I guess I used my most current details at the time (always a good idea!) I was sure I used a different email. ah well. sorry for any inconvenience. I'll rejoin now. (BTW, the password sending form told me no such user when I asked for this address earlier!lol)

    OK, 12K, WELL DONE GUYS!

EDIT: Hold on... maybe I was right. the join link tells me it doesn't have my details.

EDIT 2: OK, got it now! lol

Nice, the team is growing and so are our results :)

Keep up the good work people!
  16. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

Well we're up to 9.8 years of computing time. Keep those CPUs hot.

PS. Is it me or does this thread have a rating ??? ( 5 starts at that )
  17. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

Uh Spike are you using the CLI version ( Command Line Interface ) ? It seems you're getting long average times for your machine.

You should be way under 4 hours average.
  18. Spike Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,371

nope. lol. I haven't found it yet, so I'm using the GUI.

Seems a little quicker than it was though, now I'm using a 2400+ Athlon.

Where can I get hold of the CLI version?
  19. Didou Bowtie extraordinair! Posts: 5,898

    SETI@Home FAQ @ Anandtech

It also explains how to use it with SETIDriver ( great utility ). Using the CLI can reduce WU times up to 50%.
  20. Spike Newcomer, in training Posts: 2,371

Brilliant. Thanks. I've got the CLI running now with seti driver and seti spy.

I have acctually often wondered just what the point of that memory/cpu hogging graph in the gui version is for. It's not like most of us really understand it anyway, and we sure as heck don't sit here watching it!

WU processing time has drastically decreased. Thankyou
