New to PC gaming, is this a good build?

Working, get Internet in the morning and gonna install motherboard chipset , LAN, audio and graphics driver .. I went ahead installed the graphics driver from the cd I couldn't wait lol, do I need to erase that file before downloading the newest one?

...do I need to erase that file before downloading the newest one?
You mean installing the driver not simply downloading it but no, for Nvidia it's not necessary although you can if you want to.

Yeah, it is easy too. Just download the 314.22 stable driver and chose the option to "Custom Install" instead of a start install. Check the box that says, "Clean Install". That will erase previous drivers and software. You are good to go from there.

Installed all drivers and virus protection played farcry for a hour them clicked on start windows updates and screen froze and now when computer comes on it just shows my wallpaper no Icons or anything. tried pressing Ctrl-alt-del screen goes black nothin happens, tries windows button +R nothin happens I dont know what to dk

I dont know whats causing it had to hit f8 and boot in safe mode to get it working again, and when I install my norton virus the screen went back to just the wall paper, f8 again safe mode and I tried doing windows updates had like 100 and it did it while I was installing the updates on 2 different occassions

See if you can go to System Restore and restore it to a time before you started the Windows Updates.

I have done that 3 times , everytime I restart my computer it stars doin like 100 windows updates and goes back to wallpaper with no icons, newegg said windows updates are important but screws my computer up, should I/can I turn updates off

Try to cancel the updates so they won't complete and turn off automatic updates if they are on. When the system is stable, install the updates a few at a time instead of all of them at once. A few, like 10-12 at a time. For some reason sometimes when you do them all at once a problem occurs. I don't know why it happens but I've experienced it before so now I break it up into smaller bits.
