A company that is solely focused on the web and a search leader too will create privacy affecting or privacy concerning apps. The best way to shield oneself is to not use a real name when participating online. As far as these concerns go google latitude is worse in my opinion.

With so many people on the likes of facebook and myspace, surely most social circles are indexed already??
 
I love it that people are doing a serious review of a Sempron. And I was surprised to see that the lowest end chips had playable frame rates in modern games.
