norton is no more?

So today i woke up decided to check my email and it said "norton is disabled please active your product" it was allready activated.. this has happened 3 times now and the fix was "reinstall windows and everything again"

not going to happen...

used the norton removal tool

now i have zone alarm, AVG antivirus, ad-aware 2007 (free ones)

is this ok? will it offer me good protection?

and will i notice better performace? less resource hogging?


also when you rightclick zonealarm tab in the toolbar it says "shutdown zonealarm" im guessing thats "disable firewall"?

If you wish to stay freeware, then yes.

If you are willing to spend some more money for protection...

I suggest you to try Kaspersky / BitDefender / Eset Smart Security

Plus, you missed out the Spybot Search & Destroy. You will need it to protect yourself from spyware attack.

well im very paranoid when it comes to stuff like this and just like to know 100% i will be protected as i use alot of details on this computer.
