[Not curable - Virut] Need serious help

Firstly, you shouldn't have used any files from infected computer, which you can simply download again (clean).
Then, if those other "installation files" were not legit either, you shouldn't have used them either.
And....my speech said very clearly:

Malware experts say that a Complete Reformat and Reinstall is the only way to clean the infection. This includes All Drives that contain following files:
*.exe
*.scr
*.htm
*.html
*.xml
*.zip
*.rar
*.doc
*.jpg
*.pdf

Backup all your documents and important items only.
DO NOT backup any files mentioned above.

Even personal files should be always scanned with at least two virus scanners before putting them back on clean computer.

Clearly, you put some infected files back.

daaaamn... ok thanks man, i'll give it another shot in the morning and install everything new.

one more question... my computer has 2 drives. the C:// is my main one with xp on it, then i have a D:// drive with media on it like songs games and movies... also i have an external drive with alot of stuff on it... am i seriously going to have to reformat those too? i mean, even when infections pop up there's been none anywhere other than C drive... thanks bro

OK, hold on there for a second. I'll tell you what to do.

Firstly, make sure to disconnect external drive.
Disconnect ethernet cable, so there is no internet connection.
Format drive, install Windows.
Make sure, Windows firewall is turned on.
Now, you're ready to reconnect ethernet cable and get all updates and install AV program.
Then, scan your secondary drive with AVG and Dr.Web (ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe). Dr.Web sees Virut. It doesn't cure it, since it's impossible, but it'll see it.
Reconnect your external drive and scan it too with same two tools.

ok, so a while later i got rid of the old computer... but i took the drive out and tried to use it in my new comp and i found viruses. so, i took the old drive out and formatted it but it still wont fully format....but im workin on that.


anyway, here at my new virus scans. i might have infected the new one by moving the drive ugh... help please....

only thing i see is generic trojan horse 2 veb and trogern horse agent veb/r_ran and also mdm.exe is infected plis svchost.exe. also autorun.inf
