  1. hey there. new to these forums.

i built my first computer about 3 years ago. my friend who helped me build it gave me a hot copy of Windows XP Pro. works great.

i need to upgrade my MoBo, but it seems this may cause a problem. does anyone have any suggestions?

i think, of what i can gather, the windows disk had WPA kill, or something simmilar on it. ive never seen a login screen.

im replacing the MoBo, CPU and RAM. keeping the hard drives.

im just reluctant to go ahead with the upgrade, and get stuck.

    ideas?
    thank you in advance.

  3. No one will be able to help you as you're requesting assistance with pirated software.

lol - I can't believe you asked such a question on a public board like this. Buy Windows, it's not expensive in OEM version.
