Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti Review: 8GB of VRAM at $400 is a No-Go

Everyone just needs to get used to higher prices for GPUs
Maybe, but it doesn't mean they need to buy them at those higher prices. They aren't food or medicine.

While enthusiasts like me might ultimately decide it's worth paying a few hundred more dollars to stay at the high end of PC gaming, I think there's a much larger segment that has a maximum amount they are willing to spend on before deciding spending priorities are more valuable.

Consider for example the parents who a a few years back were willing to buy budget PCs to get their kids on Fortnite because that's what everyone else was doing. Add a few hundred dollars to that entry price tag, multiplied by several children, and I suspect a lot of families will decide their children are going to be doing something else.

I'm not too worried, it'll all work out, the truth you is could make very enjoyable games using just integrated graphics if turns out that that's all that can be mainstream priced for a while.

I don't really think this is a bad card, but it doesn't appeal to me. It seems like this card is targeted at 1080p and high frame rates, which is what Nvidia thinks mainstream gamers want. Just like frame generation, they think people just want more frames. Just like with frame generation, with having less memory, you're sacrificing visual quality for more frames. Personally, I don't care about maximizing frames. I'd rather have better visuals at a decent frame rate.
