Nvidia RTX 5000 Blackwell flagship could be 60% or 70% faster than RTX 4090

You simply pair it with a fast CPU then. 4090 is still the fastest card by far at 1440p. Beating 4080 and 7900 XTX by 20%

It just beat them even more at 4K/UHD or higher. More like 25-30% at 4K-5K.

Even at 1080p, a 4090 is still 15% faster.

Hitting CPU bottleneck occasionally don't mean a faster card is useless. You can use DLDSR anyway to make 1080p look stunning with downsampled 4K/UHD. Meaning a fast card is not wasted even tho your monitor is using a low res.

This is true for 1440p as well. DLDSR @ x2.25 and you will get vastly better visuals, which will look close to 4K/UHD while performance hit is more like 1600p-1800p.
True, but I think stronger future CPUs will help extend the 4090's useful life in a number of games. There's still untapped potential in there. But by that point we'll probably have more efficient midrange GPUs that perform like the 4090 at half the power consumption, like in the case of the 4070 Super vs 3090.

It's not a matter of embracing it or not when people use it to erroneously compare against previous generations using garbage like frame gen and claiming that's a performance uplift. It's marketing bs designed to lie to consumers who don't know any better. As always, the reviews will when we finally find out what the actual performance uplift is.
You clearly has no experience with DLSS 3 Frame Gen at all. It works flawlessly compared to AMDs FMF/AFMF mess, which is just simple interpolation, with tons of artifacts present + ghosting. The difference in gameplay when you are actually moving, is massive. DLSS 3 Frame Gen is far superior.

Just like DLSS/DLAA beats FSR with ease.

Most people hating on upscaling and frame gen are AMD users, which never tried the real deal. Only the cheap knockoff tech; FSR, FSR 3 FMF and AFMF.

AMD loves to copy/paste Nvidia tech, sadly they never even come close. AMD invented nothing in the last 3-4-5 GPU generations, they only tried to copy Nvidia and failed.

I hated FSR on my old 6800XT. I love DLSS and especially DLAA on my 4090.

Frame Gen worked wonders in Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2. Way more frames, way more smooth and pretty much no issues with it, games ran better with it, than without it. 200 fps instead of 100-120 fps looks far more smooth on a 240 Hz OLED which destroys LCD in terms of motion clarity to begin with. The miniscule input lag could not be felt, because fps was high to begin with. Smoothness improved for sure.

I always laugh when I read about AMD users praising "native res" with mediocre AA solutions on top, while hating on upscaling. They only do it because AMD GPUs can't do upscaling well. Many AMD users are forced to use TAA which is beyond crap in most games. Blurry mess of an AA solution.

I use DLAA in most new games, easily stomps on native in terms of visual quality. If I want even more performance, I simply choose DLSS Quality instead. Still has AA and sharpening built in, while improving framerate by 50-75%

DLSS and Frame Gen is magic for 4K/UHD at 240 Hz. In most games tho, I easily break 100+ fps with DLAA anyway.
