  1. Wanted to uodate BIOS in one of my oldies which is:
Chaintech 6OIV0 - Last BIOS I've heard is fm 2000/8/28
    [Note:
    Feature:
1.Fixes system booting hang with AGP-RI41/RI60
2.Fixes system restart hang with some VGA driver
3.Fixes some 3Com Lan card not appear in PCI device listing
    after win98 system restart]
    BIOS package file is:6OIV0828.exe
In theory one can download it fm Chaintech website:
    http://www.chaintech.com.tw/tw/download/FILES/6xMB/6OIV0828.EXE
    but it's never active.
Maybe somebody knows where I can get it or have it/
    pls let me know.

    Hi Triton,
Tks for links. One to site "mydrivers" is cool but I can't read chinese characters and find my way on this site. Link for downloading behaves strange - download starts and never (up to now) goes further than 13%.
I'm gonna try more. Thanks again!

    Very strange.
I downloaded the file before posting and it worked.
I just tried to download it using Opera and have the same problem as you.

I started Firefox and using Stardownloader (free version) and had no problem downloading it..
    Downloaded it 3 times.

    Agreed ! It's strange.
Will try later your way with Firefox and one of Downloader managers.
Now busy with daily tasks far away fm PC!
    Tks!

    As Triton advised I did!
Results was as poor as before.
It looks very strange like packages are sent and then stopped.
Finally I got whole file but awdflash reported error in checksum.
I gave up first of all because got no reply from chaintech support
and a lot of their links are not working.
    Going to buy another mobo!
    Tks for all help.
