    Hi,
My PC currently has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ cpu running at a stock speed of 2.5GHz. A few days back, I overclocked it to 2.625 GHz. The temperature of my cpu, according to the SpeedFan software, remained around 25 degree C. My computer has been running just fine for the last few days. Now, I am wondering, is it worth overclocking this processor for such a small gain since I understand that overclocking a cpu can shorten its life expectancy?

    Thanks

Your tiny overclock of 125MHz will not shorten the life of your processor because you didn't raise the voltage or add any significant heat. ;)
