Password Virus

Hi all. I have a problem with a virus that I have picked up somewhere. When I start windows XP all that comes up is a Password request. Its not the normal login password. Its just a request for a password.

I have tried to start in safe mode but nothing happens. Any help you can give me would be great thanks.

Check with friends/housemates etc. if somebody is playing a prank.
Press the Escape button, and/or try all the F1 - F12 keys.

If all else fails, disconnect the PC from the internet, then go to How to repair... in the Windows OS forum.
