i dont know why it does it but i have read abit into what might cause the problem, but still i dont have a clue why. the last time it happened...apart from today was about a week a go. here are the stop errors i got.

    (today)
    Error code 0000004e, parameter1 00000099, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

and whilst looking through the event view i noticed alot of DCOM errors, does this have any relevance?

    thanks

    Hi,

Attach two or three minidumps to your post.

You can find them at C:\\ Windows \ Minidump\ *

The chances are it`s caused by RAM stick going bad,

or the last drivers you installed.

    - Run Memtest five times.Any errors, swap out memory.

    - Reinstall/update the last program you installed
  4. i posted a guide to stop errors in the "Windows OS" forum, but to make things quick,

    check this:
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=291806&sd=RMVP

po' girl is right. a driver you have is screwing up your Input/Output drivers. so something you installed lately is probably causing your comp to crash.

the RAM might also need a quick check. might as well.
but it's looking like you have a driver problem.

i did the MemTest to 500% and got no errors, i have attached the minidumps.
