PC restarts all of a sudden

By techguy001

  1. a couple of days earlier i faced a lot of BSODs.-
    1.IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    2.SYSTEM_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION
    3.BAD_POOL_CALLER
    STOP :0X000000C2(0X00000007,0X00000CD4,0XE409F9E0,0XE40 9F9E0)
    4.PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

i have 2 RAM sticks- a 1gb 800mhz transcend & a 2gb 800 mhz transcend..checked both of them individually & together using memtest86+, changing slots between them..no errors, ran windows verifier,no errors or BSOD during restart or login, finally i upgraded all my drivers..the errors were reduced a lot..but there are three BSODs appearing randomly..it happens even if the pc is idle..theres no particular application that seems to be triggering it.. the error messages are-

    a) 0x0000008e (this appeared two times).
In event viewer the following error was seen both times-- Error code: 1000008e. parameter1:C0000005 parameter2: 80633356 parameter3 : b5680910 parameter4:00000000 Event ID: 1003 Category: (102) Source : system error.

    b) 0x0000000A
    c) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA 0x00000050

also some DS1410D service failed to start because the system cannot find the file specified is there in event viewer.

immediately after restart i checked the temperatures in the BIOS..they are-
    CPU Temp: 59 degree c

    M/B: 43 degree C
i haven't recently added any hardware..my system was running fine until last week & i have not installed any new softwares recently.

my hardware config is- m/b--asus p5kc
    processor- core2quad q9300 2.5ghz
    RAM-1gb 800mhz transcend & 2gb 800mhz transcend
    hdd- 360gb seagate 7200rpm
    dvd-rw- samsung sh-s223b
    PSU- 600W coolermaster truepower

If you have access to a Different Power supply unit try using that and see if problem persists.

LOVEIN69 you need to create your own thread

But both of you could run eventvwr.msc and look in the System log for recent errors.

    Or try System Restore

Also techguy001, in future please attach [IMG] this information, don't paste it in.
You might want to attach your Minidumps too (if any)

This thread is all over the place !
