Inactive Possible Root Kit Please Help!

I downloaded something last night and it immedately affected my computer. Malwarebytes found something so I had it removed, but even after I restarted my computer it still wasn't working right. When I go to Youtube on either Firefox or IE8 I get these wierd ads, and I can't change the resolution. If I use Chrome then I can change the resolution but the page glitches and constantly refreshes itself and I have to close Chrome. Sometimes Chrome crashes on startup. I've a Windows XP with 2GB of RAM, 80GB of diskspace, a 2.8GHz pentium CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce 8400 PCI with 512 MB of RAM. My model is a Dell Dimension 3100.
