i've got a 3.2 Ghz P4 prescott and damn its it hot with the stock cooler and two case fans, its idleing at 60+ C so obviously i need a new heat sink i was looking at these, does heat piping work if its horizontally oriented as in a tower configuration (rather then desktop)? which of these is best, btw i know about the zalman 7700 it doesn't fix the northbridge heatsink is in the way.

Direction and positoning has no effect on heat piping... that's the point of heat piping. Just make sure it fits in the chassis properly with your board. Prescott is going to be hot regardless, though. 60C is hot but not anything to be concerned about with that CPU, just FYI.
