Problem HP 640e DVD RW

    Hello all,

    I have serious problem with my DVD RW HP 640e. During installation (USB or fireware) of external HP 640e device, it happens that CPU is 100/ busy, which makes installation of the above mentioned device impossible or if installation starts it stops immediately. I am using AMD 2500+ at motherboard GIGABYTE GA-7NNXP with 1 GB RAM, XP SP2. Concerning described problem, I noticed in Task Manager that the process "services.exe" occupies full processor capacity. Only hard restart and switching power off from device 640e enables normal work. I do not get any error messages on the screen. :confused:

    Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
