Hi all,

I've recently had to reformat my laptop, and reinstall windows. All seems fine and well and the system is running pretty good. However, before formatting I was able to control the volume of my laptop (music, vids etc) using the keyboards 2nd function buttons i.e. pressing Fn and then F10, F11, or F12.

This doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Is this something I need to set up using windows? if so, how do i do it?

or is it more likely theres a fault somewhere?

Any help would be appreciated.

It would REALLY help to know what computer make and model we are dealing with here.

edit: I wanted to confirm you had this generic keyboad setup (from Asus);

Nowhere there is there a 'disable' option for the 'Fn' key, but since Windows doesn't ship with those kinds of drivers, it must be a download.
