Hokay. So, my question is:

Can my power supply handle another 6850?

The calculator reckons the PSU can support another 6850...

I won't be OCing the two 6850's.

Been reading some reviews and articles. Guru3D recommend a 650W PSU for CrossFireX 6850's.

Coolbeans :D

You might just get away with it as that's a good PSU and the 6850 is not very power hungry.

Have you thought about selling your 6850 and getting a single 6950/6970 instead? Might be a slightly more expensive option but single cards beat CF any time.

Have a look on eBay to see roughly how much your 6850 sells for. I've sold lots of old graphics card on eBay/Gumtree.

I think the unlockable 6950s still exist... although they are model specific. It's only the 2GB reference cards I think, so something like the MSI Twin Frozr won't unlock.

Which is the best 6950 in terms of custom coolers and stuff?

My 6850 is Sapphire and it's pretty quiet as 6850s go.

I'm looking at XFX 6950s at the moment.

You wont have any bottleneck issues at all.

I would go for anything with dual fans if you have a case with good airflow. I have a expensive bfg and a cheap pallit card in sli, both clockclock to similar speeds.

Pallit is always a degree or 2 cooler.

Evga has a a great guarantee. 10 years in the US, 3 elsewhere.
