Radeon X1800 XT... Will It Be Here Soon?!

  1. What up everyone,

So I was wondering if anyone knows when the Radeon X1800 XT 512 mb will be available. I was considering to buy it because my BFG 7800 GTX isnt running right I dont think. Lags alot... and my system isnt suppose to lag at all even with high settings! Let me know what you think (considering I havent downloaded any of the current drivers yet for the card). I'll post my specs on my rig. Thanks :)

    ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard
    AMD FX-57
    Hitatchi 500 gb SATA Hardrive
2 gigs of Crosair XMS High Performance LED Lights RAM
    550 Antec TruePower V2 PowerSupply
BFG Geforce 7800 GTX OC out of the Box.
X-Fi Fatal1ty Sound Blaster Sound Card
Logitech z-5500 Surround Sound Speaker System
    ViewSonic 19' Flat Screen

(What you think of the rig so far? I dont think it should lag at all hahaha.)

That could very well be the cause of your problems....and its not like getting the x1800 would help out much...most benchmarks point the GTX ahead of it. Secondly, a 512Mb frame buffer is overkill. Very and i mean very few games can actually take advantage of it.

    Other then that good rig

What about SLI Setup? How would that do on this system. I heard alot of people that have SLI chew threw games like a beaver through wood! Thanks

Well of course SLI would be a much better performer...if you can afford it why not...but i would really try some new drivers, i think that would solve alot of thje problems
