I just got a Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 and installed 2 X 512MB PC3200 running Dual Channel on it. After a little bit, running programs that use a lot of ram, the programs crash. But when I only have 1 chip in, it never crashes. I have ran many RAM testers on my system and it only has errors when 2 chips are in. I'm not sure what the problem is, is it the MB, or is it the RAM, and what can i do to fix it. Thanks.

    Welcome to TechSpot

Are they a matched pair of memory chips?
From reviews elsewhere, the Corsair PC3200 memory works flawless.
If you have a no-name chip, that might cause the problem.

If you use one stick at the time, do both sticks work OK?
You have so many memory slots, perhaps try another pair?

Go to www.memtest.org and download memtest. Run that for a few hours to find any memory faults.

I actually dont think they are matched, but they were sent from the same place as a pair. I'm gonna try some different slots later today. And the sticks work fine alone.
