  1. Hi guys.

My mom's boss has been having issues with his laptop, which he, unwisely, bought privatly, sans any OS disks etc.

Besides being exceptionaly slow, his Search, Task Manager and Regedit functions are disabled. I get, "Registry Editing has been disabled by your administrator" and "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" when trying to access the last two, search just doesn't function.

He's running an Intel Core 2 Duo T5850 @ 2.16 Ghz, 995 Mhz, with 768 MB of RAM
I've gone through his system with Avast and that didn't show anything.

Here's the Hijackthis logfile from the scan I ran half an hour ago

Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.
