Removing power-on password on hp 150 laptop

any body has any ideas on how to remove the power on-password on a HP 150 laptop? I have tried a password removal cd but the system wont't let me in to the bios set-up section without entering a password. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Or better still, disconnect the CMOS battery for an hour or two and it will forget it (and all the other settings but you can put those back).

That may work, I thought about it but it almost seems to easy.
