SATA + SAS in same machine

Okay, so here's another question for the crack team of compy whizzes that I am sure are reading... If I had 3 HDD's, and two were identical Western Digital Raptor SATA II compatible drives set-up in RAID 0, and the other was a Hitachi UltraStar 15k rpm SAS, could I get the 15K Hitachi set up for my OS and progs, then have the two Raptors in RAID 0 for everything else (games, music, movies, etc...) all on the same computer?? Input will be very appreciated, thanks.

No problem.. You can mix any kinds of controllers and drives bar any compatibility glitches.

IMHO the horrid noise from those drives is not worth the performance increase. I'd just get more RAM for more disk cache or some more quieter drives.
