    hello,

I am having a very annoying issue with my toshiba satellite L755-S5216. It boots up fine but sometimes while im doing work on the computer(just normal schoolwork and such) the screen will go black with a redish line that flickers on the left side of the screen. The only way to fix it is to do a shutdown holding the power button. Is there anyway to fix this...or is it just the inverter that i have read on a few posts on this site?

    Thanks

A laptop repair person can fix this for you. It could be a bad LCD panel

Or a bad inverter, which is a device behind, and usually at the bottom of the screen... Some Toshiba's have had too many early failures after the machine is a year old or so... Inverter should last three years anyway

you should go for repair and problem still persist than change the laptop to a brand new one.
