Inactive Security Suite Virus removal

Please help! My girlfriends computer picked up that Security Suite Virus and it is holding her pc hostage. We have tried all of those free downloads upon doing a Google search to no avail. Please advise, as I am tired of living in the doghouse! Thanks!
