  1. Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to make a key combo that will create a new folder in Windows XP. I can't download/install any software to do this as it's on my work PC in a highly regulated environment.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

    Dan

In Explorer, hold the Alt key down, then hit F,W, F
See if you can put this on e.g. a function key.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot RBS. The key shortcuts are great. Mapping them to a function key is proving to be more work than I can read/learn now. The best information I've found so far is here http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/input/w2kscan-map.mspx

I haven't had time to read it all yet though.

    Thanks again.
