Still, have u tried running both cards independently in one slot? Also, tried switching slots?

Hey, i've downloaded a program called Frabs which counts FPS while you're playing, so i tried it with "Company of Heroes" and i've noticed that there's no difference at all between One 7600GT or two in SLI, i tried it with F.E.A.R and there was a good difference in FPS, but no difference in performance.....
so why the hell there are some games even they are new they don't get advantage of the SLI......
    thanx.....

This is because it needs to be built into the source code. Most new games don't support SLI/Crossfire/Dual-Core CPUs on-the-fly and need a patch for them to perform at their full capability. Call of Duty 2 is a good example.

That's right, but i've downloaded a Patch for "Company of Heroes" and it says that it fixed the SLI problem, but still the game dosen't take any advantage of the SLI, also the "Battle For Middle Earth II" dosen't take advantage of the SLI......
    thanx.....

I repeat, have u tried using only one card, first in one slot and then in the other?

Well here's my 2 cents, try these drivers for your graphic card ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows/91.31/91.31_winxp2kmce_english_whql.exe

The newiest ones seem to have problems with SLi. Secondly, The 3800 x2 is a crappy proc at stock speeds. You won't unlease it's true potential if you aren't 2.35+GHz high. I have had this CPU for a little over a year and trust me all the playing I have done it, it needs to be OC'd. Or you could always buy a new CPU :)

Did you enable SLi and SLi offload balancing between the two cards?

Hey CrossFire851 it's mainly because 939 is slower compared to AM2.

LMFAO hahaha you make me laugh *sigh of releaf from the laughfter* AM2 my friend, well not really, only offers 5% yeild more in performance.

My sytem OWNS yours in every aspect. Other then ram (wich yours gives you 5% of unoticable performance when my CPU is kicking yours a55). :)

RAM is the only difference between the different sockets there is NO new technogly other then the memory controller has been upgraded to use DDR2. Same thing with 754 and 939. There is no differnce other then 939 is able to utilzes ram in dual-channel. These are miner upgrades.

I have played on a few AM2 machines and I feal no difference with there 939 counterparts.

OverClock that piece of sh proc. :)

    Cheers

Ok sorry wasn't myself yesterday :(

    Sorry guys

but with something like this it overwhelmed me

Let's forget about the CPU, the problem is so simple:
Most games don't take any advantage of the SLI....is there any solution ?
or should i have 2 wait the coming games....???
i'll try to change the slots....there's a problem because of the warranty stick and i don't want it to be removed.....
    thanx....

    I have a question...

How is your computer kicking mine?

My processor has a better core...Windsor..

And I don't need to OC the thing is to fast as it is..

I could if I wanted too...

And if i wanted to i can upgrade..My motherboard is way more upgradeable.. I can have 16 gigabytes of Ram...SLi, AM2....

Only thing you got better than me is your graphics cards..And I am waiting for the DX10 cards to come out...

See your comparing my ram ddr (1) to your ddr2. I could have 32gigs of ram if I wanted. I have one of the best boards for 939.

What you didn't take into account is that I have my proc at a way faster speed. Yes when OCing it is really is a difference. Mainchester is a better core. It just wasn't cost efficient so they really stoped it. :( shame really :(

just like you I am waiting for DX10 cards I want to get 2 of the best 8 series (if not 4 if they release a consumer quad sli board). I also am going to get an e6300 and a vapo and hit that bad boy to 4GHz.

back to the main point my cpu has better cores, I now have 2 10k 74 gig dives in RAID 0 dual 7800gts. and my core clock is a hell of alot faster.

The only thing your beating me with is the DDR2 ram wich really makes no difference.

But I am done with little flame thread you can think what you want and so now I am done.

    Cheers m8 have a good one :)

Your motherboard isn't the best 939 and it only supports 4GB of ram..

Okay well I don't need to Overclock and Windsor core is better..

And DDR2 does makes alot off difference when loading games and such..

U guys are the limit! Can't u stop the flaming in this thread too, before Howard comes in and locks it up?!
  16. johnmayo Banned Posts: 123

    I am not flaming.

lol yea I was thinking something else about the whole ram thing . I do btw have one of the best boards for 939.
