It's all vaporware as of now. Till we see proof, then well talk. Right now....360 is leading the pack with innovative hadware techology (Natal)

I would like to get a PS3, however I only know a handful of ppl that actually have it. The rest have a 360. Which is actually the reason why I chose to purchase that console. Not because it was a better system. If your planning on gaming with your friends online then its very hard to buy a console if the majority of your friends don't have it.

It's nice that the world is moving forward to the new 3D technology. Still it's sad that all the vendors will definitely find a way how to get money from all the users and buyers. Like 3D TV's / Monitors, maybe some sort of special glasses (Like nvidia 3d?). There are people who simply can't allow themselves to spend that kind of money on electronics.
  4. what is this a big geek war
  5. Uhmm...Not really sure what you mean here. Unless you buy a Sony television, what benefit does Sony get if you buy a new TV?
  6. I have a 61" Samsung DLP LED 1080P 3D compatible. Will the PS3 update work on my 3D ready set. It splits a 120 hz signal into two 60 hz signals for 3D. Do you know if Sony is going to be proprietary with their firmware update?
  7. if yr tv uses shuttered glasses the ps3 3D should work with it
  8. the issue is, people will probably be FORCED to update their ps3 with this update, even if they do NOT have a 3d capable .v. which means less HD space, because its filled with a USELESS addon that will NOT be used

What is the difference between a 3D ready HDTV and a normal HDTV, apparently its a 3D processor built into the TV, isn't that the same as having a 3D updated PS3 because i would guess that there is no difference in the TV screen so whether the 3D processor is in the TV or connected should not make any difference. When the ' home 3D ' thing was first mentioned , only a few months ago, the word was that all you needed was an HDTV , the 3D being provided via harware eg 3D bluray player or 3D enabled PS3 and of course 3D glasses. It seems greed has taken over, as usual.
I can't see the public shelving out a load more money for ' 3D tv's' when they are only just up to speed with HDTV'S, i think the greed corporations will have to rethink their strategy. Whats the betting, within 6 months we will see ' new tech ' that allows normal HDTV's to disply 3D....

It's all about making money....can't you see
  14. I have both the 67in samsung 3d ready tv and the 60in dlp 3d ready tv. I'm wondering if this firmware uses checker board which is what these use or the new 3d tvs which use a newer tecknoligy. I might have to buy the mitsubishi adaptor 1st which doesn't work with the Samsung.
