Sound issue on Dimension C521

So its rather new and theres no sound. In the device manager under sound, video, and game controllers theres 2 listings for Sigma Tel High Definition audio Codec. the one on top is functioning properly the one below is not. It says this device cant start, (code10), when i click check for solutions it runs but nothing happens? Basically, it sucks having a new computer that doesnt have sound. Its running Vista OS I wish I could figure out how to configure the sound. Lil help please.

Did this computer come with Vista installed, or did you install Vista later?
