The problem is, the governments of the "First World" are corrupt, the businesses, banks, and lawyers, the money that circles them is all corrupt and fraudulent. They make whatever laws it takes to make sure they stay out of the firing lines, and everyone else is in it.
People who speak out, are terrorists. People who don't agree with them are wrong.
They don't fix the world, they don't make the world a better place, that would cost them money. And you can't pay to fix Real problems, with fake money. As money is an illusion, there is none, everyone is in debt to those who make the rules. These government officials are dumb when it comes to the bigger picture, but just smart enough to spin enough crap and lies, to distract you from the truth while you are too busy paying bills to Debts & Illusions Inc. And oh look see that war ... or ex member we thru under the bus... ? Good then you didn't see us sneak more laws in.
Does no one not spot that when a story breaks out that seems to be, of some public interest, they sneak another bill in, and hope you are distracted just long enough to not notice or petition it ?

Well, if your'e going to be a dictatorship, at least do it right. next step - it is illegal to protest against the new law.
