I already have a 7800GT card but another one would be grat for SLI! Great contest. And the GPU is awesome as it is, 2 would be amazing :D
 
Dude, you have no idea how much I could love a new graphics card... much GeForce4 440 MX is just too outdated to handle anything these days; maybe it's big brother could help me out?

This is great I would have been first to post but there was only the one at the top so I thought it was the wrong place. anyways to good.
 
I'm planning on building a new system over Christmas break. Perfect chance to go SLI, as I was planning on getting one. Or I could save $350 on a new one.
 
With a free $350 card, a motherboard upgrade would be well worthwhile. Theyre relatively cheap and you could still use all the other components.
 
Hmm, you people all say that there is a prize and I got to win it; did you think that it may not be compatible with your PCs. Did anyone mention if it's VGA or 16x express or what?
 
hope no one minds if i jump in here... personally i preffer ATI, but free, hey willing to give that a shot! whaooo, need a new card anyway, lol blew up my ocmputer, literally, bad accident, huh but nvm. So yeah there goes my Radeon 9600 :(. so here i am along with you all, need VIDEO CARD...nyway
 
Xbox 360 shortage wierd

As the Techspot story says, the Xbox 360 has been oversupplied in Japan. But doesn't it seem strange that while the US market is suffering such shortages, the Japanese market has so many of the consoles, some of the retailers even reducing prices to "get rid of stock" as per Techspot. I mean, how can u supply such a huge number of consoles to Japan, when the biggest market for Microsoft is supposed to be the US? Or is it just a ploy to gain the attention of the millions of PS2 worshippers in Japan who r waiting desperately for the PS3?
 
Actually, I'm not sure there is such a big defecit of Consoles in America. I have been in Compusa, Target, and Frys, and they all have extras sitting around. The target had at least 5 Premiums on display. I'm begining to think the shortage is a hoax.
 
I agree spartanslayer. It seems Microsoft has resorted to dumb tactics like these to sell more of the Xbox 360s. It seems the plan is backfiring, coz' many people r getting fed up of being told that there is a "shortage" of the console. Also, what about the crashed that have been reported by some people who purchased it. Agreed, some of the crashes may have been caused by the game system overheating (thanks to CoLD_SToRAGE on the Techspot forums who enlightened us with the above information), but who are u gonna blame if the chip inside gets screwed at the opening screen of Halo 2? The early launch seems to have had a sub-standard product delivered to customers who had been waiting for a next-generation console for ages.
