these 2 video cards which one should i buy

-geforce6200 AGP 128mb $100

(no more pci express version available, certainly will not get the TC version, this is the cheapest card)


i don't have the money to get a super powerful 7800 or a 6800, and i cannot SHOP ONLINE, i buy them from the local pc hardware store

The 6600 is better because it has 8 pixel-pipelines while the 6200 has only 4. Also, the 6200 has a 64-bit architecture while the 6600 has 128-bit. So the 6600 is a better bet for u. If u can get it however, try getting an Leadtek 6800 GT. It has 256 MB of memory and more performance than the above two cards combined and its available for around $200.

You should find a cheaper 6600 (no LE). Try searching harder, there's better prices.

third alternative

buy a geforce 6800 used.

Say to the seller that you wish to buy it, but only on the terms that you wish to get a demonstration of the card working in his pc + when you leave you have to make a contract with him saying that if it does´nt work when you go home and try it in your pc, then you will get a full refund.

Tried it, works like a charm. (who said you could´nt buy used hardware goods!)

6600LE would be a better buy. I do also think 6800GS would be even better if you can spend like few bucks more.

Well the 6600 obviously is better as it is double the price because it has 128 bit and the 6200 only is 64 bit also the agp is 8x not 4x.

6600LE without a doubt, but at least try to get a normal 6600, not the LE version.

I'm also wondering as truflip - 200$ for a 6600LE?!
That's really a bad deal - they are like 60$ at newegg, or atleast something around that, definately not 200$!
For 200$ you could get the 6800GS from newegg which is so much better, but only if you have PCI-E.

Still can't believe the price of that thing, I know my country aint cheap, but that is just plain crazy
