    It runs Sweeeeeeet :grinthumb :D.

Took me this long to get back to you on the Sapphire question...sorry. Different manufacturers will handle the chipset a little differently. I've noticed Sapphire to be somewhat superior to most others....I've owned a few of their cards.

BTW, glad you like the card. :approve:

In retrospect, what was the new 3Dmark score with the new video? What exactly was the new video you ended up getting?

Hi Vig, it's Faust. You didn't have to came here to ask that 'cause I own an ATI RADEON X800 Pro card and it's blazing HOT! :giddy:

Well erm I only ran 3dmark to the nature thing, long story short, Teamspeak problems.

anyway the first test was more then 7000 score (thats the totall fps which
    usually was around 2500-3000)

I Started up Far Cry @ Very high 1024*768 AA and AF on and WOW, it just ran
smooth like nothing was goin on and those graphics man :D.

anyway I also did some others games, CnC Generals and NFSU2 both as high as
it gets and well you can guess: smooth if not uberly fast ;) .

I'll edit this msg later on with the 3dmark03 benchmark result.
EDIT: hhmm with AA and AF off on the driver and every setting to high performance,
I only get 8000 score instead of 9000 like on tomshardware.com.
Allthough comparing it to my old score, 1200 or so its a HUGE performance leap.

The best thing about it is that I don't have to worry about settings being too high
and that I can just play the game with really good graphics and still have the
    performance I need.

    bye  .

P.s. A friend of mine said that I shouldn't download the latest drivers from Sapphiretech.com
since there are allot of bugs still in it and that i should stick with the drivers
that came with it on the cd.

This upgrade I got when I bought the X800 Pro:

    Processor- INTEL Pentium 4 2.80GHz
    RAM- I Gig DDR
    Power Supply- 400W (Nothing less!)

This system has yet to fail me and games like Half-Life 2 runs like a breeze on highest settings. :slurp:

Dang guys, can't wait to get one!

Sab3r, you could always check www.ati.com and get the strait Catalyst from them.

But don't get the "capture" driver portion. And don't get the Catalyst control panel unless you have .NET framework installed. I just don't get either, unless you have an all-in-wonder.

From ATIs download section, scroll down to the low speed part and get just the driver and control panel.
That is, IF you want to upgrade the driver. With a pinch of caution. But I've never had problems.

I'll wait for a while since it runs good right now and as someone said in his sig:

Don't fix it when it aint broken :) .

Btw vigilante why don't you have one yet? I mean its not THAT expensive LOL :D.

Its totally worth the 400 euro's

The X800XL right now is about $330us
The X800XT is still about $500us

As some know from my other post, I just had to buy a new mobo, so the budget is down for the moment :(

Feel free to buy another and send it to me :)

:haha:, no way man :knock: .

I still need to buy a new monitor (19 inch CRT flat screen) and my budget also
took a big hit  .
hhhmmm maybe I'm not a small time gamer anymore  .

All these replies, long thread, drawing allot of atention (posters).
Gives a nice feedback of the x800 pro though and FX 5700/5600XT hehe.

I'm not on that kind of budget, more like between 150-200 but it'll take a while
