What is the site where you are?

Aria is the one I use, im sure there maybe cheaper, but as I am in the UK we generally have to pay more for stuff anyway thanks to our high VAT etc

Thats probably why Newegg etc doesnt ship here, all the duty charges they would have to add on, not to mention international shipping costs would be high to say the least!

Yeah im helping this guy from the UK at the moment too with a build, I have to go to pricegrabber.co.uk and search there... There was a price on a x1950XTX for about £300.00 :haha: ( that's alot of money just incase you dont know ;) )

Yeah but the X1950XTX is probably the best choice befor DX10 :D

Yeah I understand why you wanted to finance! :D
Most of the parts in the UK are alot more expensive ( from what I saw ) because a part from Newegg was say $150 and on the UK site it was $210 ( Without vat ) which is a big difference :haha:

Yeah man its disgusting what we have to pay... for things over here...

Yeah I dont see why newegg doesnt make a .co.uk version of the site and have a office somewhere in England or something so it can ship all around there ;)

I dont think Newegg could do that here Time, They could maybe open up but they wouldnt be able to offer such great deals here thanks to our "Fair trade" legislation that prohibits undercutting your competition to the point where they cant afford to compete... sucks!!!

If they did somehow pull it off they would probably end up being the only supplier left in the UK lol

Thanks guys - there really is some helpful support on here!

TPX etc - thanks for the suggestion but I managed to f#ck up a motherboard in an old pc once, just by trying to add another HD (don't ask how!) so after that I resigned myself to getting profesionals to do it and paying a few quid for the pleasure - much as I do with my car, heating etc.

I'm a little confused though, the original post seems to think it's a scam cause it's too cheap, but you're all telling me I'd save money buy building myself???

Subtext - my, you are being paranoid ;-) I'm going to try calling "Rich" in the next day or two so if I am him that'll be an inetersting or very quiet conversation... :) (And yeah malcx is short for malcolm x - but thats an old Rugby nickname)

And yes I'm English too so pay crappy VAT on everything...

    Cheers again

Actualy, You will save money on building your own... I dont know what these guys were saying how it was too cheap :D

Go to a website like Pricegrabber.co.uk and search each part of the computer to see how much it would cost to build that and subtract that from how much the computer cost... It's about £1000 ;)
