Business secretary Vince Cable announced the change following a review of the policy by telecoms regulator Ofcom. Website blocking was one of the key provision contained in the Digital Economy Act. Internet Service Providers had objected to the idea that copyright owners could compel them to cut off some sites.
They may have drop it(it wouldn't have worked anyway)now it seems the courts(court forces BT to block access to Newzbin.) wants to force ISP's to censor us instead.
Horse and Carriage Logic...... This little ditty once sung by Frank Sinatra might appeal to you then.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_and_Marriage
Surprisingly for a young guy like me, I kinda like old Frank. I think what gets my back up over stuff like this, is the fact like the UK has no visible constitution(*); no fundamental "no go" areas where stupid politicians can't roam (at least without asking the people first). We're more and more being treated like children of our country, when in reality, the majority of us are adults, who know what's right and wrong, and don't need tosspots in pinstripe suites telling us what to do all the time. (*) -- There is a constitution somewhere in someone's back pocket, but you never hear about it.
