I'm unable to ping my computer from "outside." Pinging 127.0.0.1 is ok. Pinging my ip address from my computer is ok. However, pinging my computer's ip from other computers or from any website that has a pinging utility result in timeouts. My computer is hooked up to a modem with one other computer, if that's any help. The IP also begins with 192.168.

    Welcome to TechSpot
You are pinging a network IP.
Look at the IP number you got from your ISP, that is the only one you can ping from "outside". Check in your modem/router settings or in your Internet Protocol (TCP/IP settings) in your Network-properties.

Your firewall(s) are blocking ICMP requests.
