Unable to re-install Sims 2

    I got Sims 2 Double Deluxe a little while a go, installed it and played it fine, then uninstalled it (for reasons unknown :p) but now I'd like to play it again. Every time I try to install it, at about 83% into the installation, an error box appears saying "A problem occured when transfering file blah blah blah from media"

    What the heck does that mean and how can I fix it???
