i recently installed a new slave hard drive and did a primary format. After i did the format, i was able to transfer some files from the master to the slave. When the system restarted though i got the error "unmountable boot volume" and the following codes:
    0x000000ed (0x84311588, 0x00000032, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Tried running in safe mode and other features but to no avail.

ps....i have NO boot disk or windows xp installation disk. something tells me i need the installation disk...please advise.

thanks for any help out there!

    Remove the slave drive...

Remove the slave drive and try to boot. Does the same error occur? Did you set the jumpers on the drives correctly?

hey the solution worked! must let u know though...the part where they ask u what type installation u want after u press "R", u enter 1.
    thought i'd mention it :)
