Foxconn A7GM-S (v1) currently has a dual core. I would like to upgrade this for a small cost by picking up a Phenom X4. The manufacturer's list of tested / passing CPUs for this board does not show any "business class" CPUs. The stepping and the cpuID for both the "business class" and the regular bunch with the same GHz are the same.
What does the BIOS use to identify 'known' CPUs? Can I use a "business" with the same stepping and cpuID as if it were a mainstream commercial item?
