USB DSL Modem problem

I currently use my home built AMD processor desktop to access the internet. I bought a new Gateway 840GM with IntelD 830 processor, 1MB memory, DVDRW 16X DL, with WIN XP Media Center OS to make digital editing quicker. However, I am unable to get my Zoom USB DSL modem to work with the Gateway. I have tried several times, talked with ISP, Zoom, Gateway, and still have the problem.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

USB modems are always a pain in the ***. Buy a modem/router $50. They`re so much better in so many ways.You won`t regret it.
