Google's involvement is unclear? Google's involvement is Chrome OS, isn't it?

Google and Verizon are companies to which I feel consumer loyalty, and Apple has made me increasingly more angry over the past few years with their greedy, malicious business tactics. Though tablets don't really appeal to me in general, I'd hate to see a monopoly on them by Apple (like with mp3 players), where iPad is THE tablet and nothing else can even tread water.
