control pannel ----> device manager----->item you wish to roll back--->properties--->rollback driver (if you cant click it, then i dont know what to tell ya)

or you can try to use the unistall option in there and reboot your pc, then install the driver you want if you have it avalible.

For the driver, are you using the driver that comes from nvidia?

I guess you can try the custom nvidia drivers ( they are optimized for performance and less heat cycle time. )

    Give them a try!

Well i restarted my computer and my monitor froze as usual, has happened a few times lately. then i had to hard boot it so i could see, then it started windows and in the middle of the startup it shutdown.
so now i had to run it in safemode to check everything out.

i think im going to install the bad driver again then roll back again to double check
b/c i think i tryed to shutdown the pc in the middle of the rollback, which is why i think it froze.

hmm seems you have other issues or more issues than you think with the freeze-ups and the like.

ill have to let somebody more experienced help you out other than myself.

good luck and i hope you get it worked out.
  16. king21092 Newcomer, in training Posts: 156

well it said on the startup that a recent "hatrdware or software change" could have caused it, which is what happened more the less. anyway, i installed the newest driver again and then tried to rollback once again and it wouldnt let me. it said that there werent any backups for it.

Yes my typing got bad, im ready for bed!

    hehe

i really would not worry about that 1c. if everything is running normal with the new driver, run it as it is.

from my experience, when you start fixing something that isnt broken, you break it ;)

Well your right honestly, even though its reading my temperatures really high, the inside of the case is normal and the exhausted air feels moderately normal as before. As I've read in another post, it must be a bad driver that reads improper information. I think I might just get a different program that gets accurate measurements. The driver works, but I guess it doesn't work as far as reading the temperature thingy though.
