Vista Media center

I burned a recorded TV program using Vista MC. When I played the DVD everything was upside down. Anyone have any ideas?

My system is core2 2.4, 2 gigs ram, 320 sata drive, 8800gtx, nec and a samsung dvd burners the samsung is a light scribe drive, and Asus P5N32-sli motherboard. I have the beta drivers from Nvidia.

I have an educated guess:

You will need to download Microsoft Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility (DECCHECK.EXE) and run that. What you may have is a mpeg2 decoder issue, some aren't compatable with media center (even though they can still play sometimes). That utility will let you choose which one to set as default, you'll want to check the one that is WMP10 and MCE compatable.

The cyberlink decoder (from powerdvd) works, and the nvidia purevideo one also works well. Intervideo's (from windvd) doesn't work properly.

Hopefully you'll already have one of those installed that you can choose with that utility.

I know it says its an XP utility, but it works in Vista.
