Weekend Open Forum: How many processes are running right now?

No clue. But I'll tell you one thing -- that graphic that you put there, showing the four processes (running each on its own processOR) looks a lot like my computer when I'm running music production software like Cubase.

50 processes.

Might still be running Windows XP, in which case you could run less than 20 and still do everything.

85 currently running...Win 7 64bit...Core i7-960 w/ 12 Gig of RAM

50 processes running.............Opera active with 4 tabs open and just recovered from a BSOD!! lol

A very clean system should have under 60 at a given time.

I'm at 100, with 5 chrome tabs and a few other programs running. My secondary computer with W7 running F@H has only 50.

With this window open I'm at 79 this is on fresh reboot.

I can easily break 100

at bootup 40+; now after fewhours of surfing 54.

I'm pulling 47 normally.

I've got 39 and 36 processes running in my XP desktop and laptop.

Generally desktops have less processes running when compared with the notebooks (not counting in XP here), so I think we should divide all notebook processes with the factor of 2, before posting the final number

43 processes on Windows XP on my work computer.

My work computer bounces between 50-60 processes. I try to keep if fairly low because it gets rather bogged down with what I need to do at work - graphic design - and I'm still trying to talked my boss into an upgrade .......
