Actually, I just realised the last game I bought was actually Pro Evo 2010! It's awesome, so much better than the last game. It still has its bugs, but overall it is a far superior game. The redesigned master league is a godsend!

My last purchase was Mass Effect which I really enjoyed. Can't wait for number 2

Latest game for me was L4D.. though I have to agree that L4D2 is a very poorly timed sequel since Valve dropped the ball on promised support and expansion of L4D. Otherwise though it's as usual from them a kickass game. :)
  4. I bought Crysis almost a year ago. Cause I don't buy games very often. I could play it on low settings but I updated my rig recently and now I can play it on Maximum graphics.

Diablo II - Lord of Destruction... LOL

Let's just say I have to *really* like a game before I buy it.

The last game I bought personally must have been the Burning Crusade, coming up on three years ago.

However, my room mate just got Borderlands for the PS3 and I've been playing it a bit. From what I can see, its story is weak (and I mean WEAK...they've resorted to unexplained visual hallucinations to develop plot, and an annoying talking robot for turorial information - think Guilty Spark meets Wall-E). Nothing new has been brought to the table gameplay wise - it's a typical analog thumbstick shooter. It has RPG elements (I'm still hesistant to lable something an RPG just because it's based on a level system, so I'm not going to call it an RPG), ie classes, level ups, and randomly spawned guns with random stats. It also has skill points.

The skill points do NOT scale well with the enemies you're fighting. Watching my room mate play through the game: by the second playthrough, mobs are so tough that his gun is doing little to deter them; however, he has a ridiculously over powered bird, on a 12 second cooldown, that will one shot up to 9 enemies.

I would not pay $60 for a game that brings nothing new to the table and has irritating issues.

Just yesterday I bought Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition. Gotta love when they include all the DLCs in one bundle.

Last game I bought is "STALKER:Shadow of Chernobyl", but I haven't got the chance to play it yet so I can't say if it was worth it or not.
On the other side, before this, I got "The secret of Monkey Island: Special edition" from Steam and I can say that this little remake totally worth it, every cent. I recomend it to all adventure fans ... and to old timers like me :p

Does it count digital purchases? If so, my latest buys were Giants Citizen Kabuto and Sacrifice from gog.com, great site. Retail games I bought recently were Mirror's Edge and Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. Mirror's Edge I liked, really fun, OpFlashpoint was sort of a letdown for not having DS.

Batman Arkham Asylum. Loved it! Rocksteady developed it to perfection.

Batman Arkham Asylum - really, really enjoying this.

As usual (for me), this game prompted a complete refresh of my 4 year old home rig - new video card, cpu, ram, m/board - the works

Heh, I remember, my first computer got a Hercules card to play Leisure Suit Larry, then a VGA monitor and card to play Space Quest and Kings Quest, then later (gasp) a Soundblaster and RAM and CPU upgrade to play Wing Commander; and so it went over the years...new games, new hardware upgrades.

Doom 2 and Dyna Blaster.... :)

    Just Kidding.
I bought GTA IV, after failing desperately to run the pirated one and now after much playing, I am satisfied with though I still remember the drunk(swaying) screen on pirated copies of the game, finally RockStar made me buy one of their games..

Last game I bought... would have to be Neverwinter Nights, the mod community is enormous and the game itself is endless, multiplayer introduces more endless gaming with friends.
