What are you listening to

I listen to rock and metal mainly. My personal favourite bands include System of a Down, Seether, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Nickelback, Creed, InFlames, AFI, Breaking Benjamin and Iron Maiden, among others.

Pretty much anything but folk/jaz/classical/anything else that sounds annoying. No offense, but I *cannot see* how people find classical music "soothing".

Currently, listening to Nirvana and Linkin Park (more exactly, "Numb" by Linkin Park). Also, Hoobastank and Eminem.

Metal is my favorite, but I listen to almost anything (except commercial rubbish).
I'm into lyrical content and skillful musicians above all ...

A few bands would be Slayer, Tool, Deftones, Napalm Death, Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Himsa, R.A.T.M, Metallica (oldskool), etc.

Some rap: Del the funky homosapien (Deltron 3030 - Hieroglyphics), Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Mr. Lif, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe called Quest, Jurassic 5 ---- Aussie rap: Hilltop Hoods, Koolism, 1200 Techniques, The Herd, Bliss n Esso

Too many other genres and artists to go on about. Basically I have a playlist for every day of the week ... and for every kind of mood I'm in :)

I'd take classical music any day of the week over Linkin Park and Hoobastank!

The *****cat Dolls are downright ridiculous and their music is overrated. Most of Gwen Stefani's songs are not bad though, pretty catchy. But any form of rap/hip-hop is an absolute no-no for me anyways, I prefer sticking to rock only.

Nah, the *****cat Dolls are good (in my opinion). Well, they might not be "good" in some people's eyes, but I like listening to their songs (don't ask about watching their videos ;)).

*****cat Dolls and Gwen Stefani (among many, many others) make music that is designed to sell. None of these posers will stand the test of time. They say nothing I care about and flaunt their money in a selfish way. Remember it's your record money that buy's them what they have.

I'm a big fan of rap, but the crap that passes for it today is unbelievable. It's all about money and beats ... where's the lyrical content?!

It's been a long time since I've payed attention to the top 100 charts. It's all crap!

Gwen Stephani was at her peak in No Doubt's 2nd album. Don't Speak will still be played many years in the future.

Yeah, their Hand of Blood album is quite good. If you like them, try Disturbed, Finger Eleven and Strata as well. Those are bands BTW, not albums, in case you get confused.

I got the new Finger Eleven album and was disappointed.
Yeah, most of the new albums by rock bands nowadays don't match their previous work. Take Breaking Benjamin as an example. None of their new albums can pass the brilliance of Phobia.
