I remember playing old school DOS games on a PC my family had a LONG time ago, I remember the likes of The Lost Vikings, Alley Cat and Cyber Dogs.

The first multiplayer game I got into though would be the original Red Faction, man that was awesome blasting holes in the walls with the rocket launcher.

I could probably list so many games, but the three that stand out most:
    Time Pilot
    Mr. Do!
    Q-Bert
For the arcade and at home on the Coleco.
Gamer all my life since I was able, my father got me hooked.

Console gaming: First game I ever played was Super Mario. Succeeded by a Sega Genesis, then N64, PS1, PS2, PS3.

PC gaming: The original Doom. Got it when I was 7, but was too scared to play unless someone was in the room with me, haha.

"DAVE" - a game with only 10 levels, ridiculously addictive.. ran on DOS, and then it was Pac-Man, mario, serious sam, Vice city, age of empires, etc.. many !

Loved games ! love games !

Depends really. The first PC Game I got hooked was back in 2000 when I was given a gaming Compaq (!!!!) and a bunch of games. The very first game that I got completely hooked on PC was SimCity 3000. Literally spent the whole day building cities and whatnot and I looked at the window, there was daylight, "5min" later dinner time :D Of course, NSF Porsche Unleashed and Sonic CD were also big favorites, as well as GTA and GTA2.

Gaming in general, Sonic & Knuckles (and Knuckles in Sonic 3) for the Sega Genesis. Literally every Sonic game is fun in my opinion, and somewhat addicting.

I am gamer basically last 20 years.
And remember that Diablo, Championship Manager 01/02 and Commandos 2 were really addictive back in the days.
But I must confes that EVE Online got me dreaming about the game, thinking about ship setups, economy, doing extra effort outside the game, like Corporation forum, excell spreeds for minning and profit.
    In 2 words TOTAL ADDICTION!
It cost me real money, and I still have account just in case my addiction kicks in :)

My first game was LHX, a helicopter game, on a monochrome screen, in the early 90's. I barely managed to lift up the helicopter and shoot randomly some missiles and stuff, I was too little to actually figure out how to complete objectives and missions. Then, on the same monochrome screen (on a 286 computer I think) I played Wolfenstein 3D, Prince of Persia, Bumpy, Supaplex, an F1 game which I don't remember the name, Lamborghini, Lotus, Keen, Fire and Ice, Prehistorik 2, Jazz Jackrabbit, and lots of other games.
After that I finally got a color screen together with a Pentium 133 Mhz computer. On that computer I played Doom, NFS, MK, Warcraft.
But the games that really hooked me up to gaming were the Star Wars KOTOR games, Prince of Persia Sands of times.
Other games that I really loved:
EGATrek, a very simple, smart and addictive game
USM 98, a soccer manager, really fun if you manage to get the ultimate winning scheme and win every match :D
    Comanche Gold
    Quake 1&2
Alien Odyssey, an excellent atmospheric action/adventure game
    Gothic 1&2

I would have to say the original age of empires got me started.

    Either that or commander keen!

I was a child in the days of arcades so pacman, asteroids and galaga were some of the first games I ever played. Once I got an Atari console I was hooked. Most time spent playing was on the original NES. Super Mario, Zelda and some of the classic RPG's from those days kept me busy every day.

First games I remember playing are Mario Bros, Bomberman and Battlecity(not sure what its called but its the one with the tanks) all for NES or Famicom. And the first game I was able to finish was Wolfenstein 3D.

The first one that got me hooked back in the day was Chopper Commando running on DOS 3.2. I would spend hours and hours playing that! My favorite quote after dieing was "Life goes on... for most of us anyways."

I would have to say Doom and later on I liked the Doom 3, when I got into F.E.A.R I released that I needed to update some hardware.

For me it would have to be Dungeons of Kroz from my DOS days. Wow. Just having color back then was awesome.

Pong. Obviously certain games on various systems stand out over others but Pong is where it all started for me.
